Organizing Your Books Online

I just had a great time in LibraryThing setting up my library! I got an amazon.com account and just uploaded their info on the books that I have at home. I've read them all except for two that I still have to get. It took me a little while to figure it out and to add the tags.

My main reading interest is mystery and fantasy. I read books by Lilian Jackson Braun who writes The Cat who... books. They're about two Siamese cats called Yum Yum (female) and Koko (male), who live with a bachelor. He caters to their every need and whim. Koko is the detective and helps his human (James Macintosh Qwilleran), solve crimes.

Another author I enjoy is Shirley Rousseau Murphy who writes the Joe Grey mysteries. Those books are about cats named Dulcie (owned by Wilma Getz, a librarian); Joe Grey (owned by Clyde Damon) and Kit (owned by Lucille). By the way, these cats talk! But only to their owners and a few close friends. The felines help the police solve crimes. The police don't know who their informants are!

The other author I like is Rita Mae Brown who writes about Mrs. Murphy. A feline who shares her life with another cat named Pewter and a Corgi named Tucker. These animals also talk and help to nab criminals.

What is C.L.A.S.S?

C.L.A.S.S. is: Connecticut Library Association Support Staff. It is a section of the Connecticut Library Association (CLA). We get together and brainstorm ideas for our annual fall conference. CLASS has over one hundred members.

We work together to present a conference in the fall for our support staff colleagues. It is held at a community college within the state, usually at the end of October or beginning of November. It's an all day event. The participants learn how to improve their working skills, have time to network with other support staff and have some fun.

If you would like to join our group, and are a member of CLA, just send an email to:kris.golden1@gmail.com and we will add you to our database and email list.
